National park with the Montgrí mountain range, the Medes Islands and the mouth of the River Ter. The area has been protected in order to preserve the unspoiled natural landscape, among others. dunes, bays, wetlands and valleys. The park was established in 2010 and its total area is over 8,000 ha.
