Plaza de Espana is located at the foot of Montjuic. It is a gate that leads to the former grounds of the World Exhibition. In the center of the circular square stands a neo-baroque fountain depicting three rivers of Spain. There are also two towers modeled on the Venetian bell tower from St. Mark's Square The brand and the former bullfighting arena housing a large shopping center.
Plaza de Espana is a communication center as well as an important tourist destination of the city. From here, the rising street of Queen Maria Krystyna leads to the National Palace, which houses the National Museum of Art of Catalonia. The famous Magic Fountain is in front of the palace. The smaller fountains are located along the street, and during performances observing their show from Plaza de Espana allows you to appreciate the entire composition.
The entrance gate to the exhibition grounds are two modeled on the Venetian towers. On the other side of the square is the former bullfighting arena. An exclusive shopping mall found its refurbished interior. On its roof there is a viewing terrace allowing admiring the exhibition grounds and fountain shows.
