Església de Sant Sever is a historic church in the city's oldest district, Barri Gòtic. The building was erected in the Baroque style. Attention is drawn to the facade designed by Jeroni Escarabatxeres, which is decorated with pilasters and a pediment with angels holding a shield with a miter. Above the pediment, in the niche, a statue of Sant Severa, the patron of the temple, was placed.
Noteworthy is the interior decorated with paintings by Viladomat. Important altars include the altar from the 18th century, made by Pedro Costa.
The temple consists of a single nave, to which an apse and side chapels adjoin. The church is one of the few sacred buildings in the city that survived the war intact. You can still admire original architectural details and intricate decorations here.
