Saint Salvador Sanctuary

The most important pilgrimage center in Majorca was established in the 13th century, when the shepherd found the statue of the Mother of God. The statue taken to the town of Escorca miraculously returned to the place of discovery. This was read as a sign that a chapel and monastery should be built here. The monastery is a great viewpoint.
