The National Museum of Science and Technology - MUNCYT was founded in 1980, and has been in Alcobendas since 2014. The unusual collection represents the evolution of Spanish science and technology. His collection includes unique instruments and research instruments from the Renaissance to the present day. Fantastic interactive stands and extraordinary educational workshops will delight both children and adults.
The permanent exhibition of the museum has over 500 exhibits and includes tools from a wide range of fields - from industry, through biology, to astronomy. A significant part of the collection comes from schools, university facilities, research institutions and enterprises from all over Spain.
Until 2014, the museum was located in Madrid. After moving the facility, the capital's building was closed to the public. Currently, the building houses the main library, archive and warehouse, which stores over 15,000 exhibits.
