Súľov rocks
Local name: Súľovské skaly
Sulowskie Rocks are located near the town of Bytca. They belong to the chain of Malá Fatra and are the most famous Slovak rock city. Weathered limestone rocks took on fanciful shapes under the influence of rain and wind, which were called, among others, gates, mushrooms or dinosaurs.
Sulowskie Rocks are under protection of the national nature reserve. There is an educational trail over 7 kilometers long, with resting places and information boards. On the route you can see, among others, 13-meter Gothic Gate with a 5-meter rock window, 8-meter Giant's Gate, as well as Spiers, Rock Mushrooms or a Sleeping Dinosaur.
The attraction of the area is the Sulowski Waterfall and the ruins of the Sulowski Castle. There is also a small cave here, called Dragon's Den.
