Plague Column

One of the so-called plague columns, or votive monuments for surviving the plague, which were created after the plague epidemic devastating Europe in the first decade of the eighteenth century, the 14-meter monument was built in 1723 on the site of a medieval gallows. Legend has it that the remains of St. Valentine.
