Jakaba Palace is a neo-Gothic, eclectic building standing within the Old Town in Košice. It draws attention with its appearance reminiscent of the French castles of the Loire Valley, or as some Transylvanian magnate houses want.
The palace was built at the end of the 19th century by the eccentric architect Peter Jakab. It is a palace with a quadrangular tower, steep roofs and numerous bay windows and projections. The culmination of the building is decorated with small round and square towers and neo-Gothic friezes.
The palace remains undeveloped today. There is a legal dispute between him and the town and the owners' heirs.
