Demänovská Cave of Liberty

Demänovská Cave of Liberty is located in the northern slopes of the Low Tatras, in the Demänovská Valley. It belongs to the system of several caves located in this area. It is open to tourists, and the tourist route is over 1800 meters. It is characterized by a rich infiltrative coat and the occurrence of rocks of various shades.
The cave is almost 9 kilometers long, but only the 1870 meter tourist route is open to tourists. Other parts of the corridors can only be explored by speleologists with appropriate equipment. The route is illuminated and secured.
It leads through the corridors and rooms that have been formed in limestone rock for centuries. You can admire the extensive stalactite formations with stalactites, stalagmites, draperies and underground lakes, in which interesting rock forms were created. Picturesque shades of this place are given to this place by limestone, depending on the elements found in it.
