The picturesque park was founded in 1881. It was built as a recreational space according to the design of the Belgian landscape architect Eder. The park was renovated in 2010. Lanterns and benches with the appearance of those from the beginning of the 20th century were set up. The pavilion and fountain were also restored.
Along the alleys, busts of eminent writers, playwrights and historians were set up, including Mihai Eminescu, Iona Creangă, Dimitrie Ghica and Nicolae Bălcescu. During the walk you can see a historic stone bench from 1905 and the building of the Buceg Nature Reserve Museum, located in a former restaurant.
The park is surrounded by historic buildings from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, such as Hotel Palace, Hotel Caraiman or Hotel Regal 1880. There is also the Sinaia Casino, modeled on the famous Monte Carlo Casino. Originally there were also Hotel Sinaia, restaurants, baths and a two-story villa, but they all burned down during the fire.
