Romanian Peasant Museum
Local name: Muzeul Țărăncii Române
The Romanian Peasant Museum is housed on a former farm in the small town of Dragomirești. It is devoted to the realities of life in the Romanian countryside over the years, especially women's work.
The house, together with the yard and the farm buildings on it, is surrounded by a traditional wicker and wood fence. There are fruit trees and shrubs, flowers and herbs.
The permanent exhibition, located inside a residential house built of wood and stone, includes a collection of costumes, everyday items, tools and decorative items, mostly made by hand. You can also see a collection of black and white photographs and drawings. In one of the rooms there is a stone stove, which is used to heat the household in winter and to bake bread all year round.
