Bánffy Castle

Castle Bánffy is located in the small village of Bonțida. Its history dates back to the first half of the 15th century. As a result of numerous reconstructions and modifications, elements of various styles can be seen - renaissance, baroque, neo-gothic and neoclassical.

A large park, established in the 18th century, adjoins the castle. Initially, it was a French-style park, modeled on the parks in Schönbrunn and Versailles. In the 19th century it was rebuilt in a romantic style.
