Vila do Bispo is a quiet village close to the famous beaches of the Algarve and the popular Cape Cabo Sao Vicente. It is primarily a transit point and a place where you can taste traditional cuisine from this region.
The town was founded in the 17th century and was owned by the bishops of Faro. Currently, it is a small, quiet resort, with a climate typical for the south of Portugal and low, white buildings. There are several excellent restaurants here, popular with tourists going to the coast.
The main attractions around Vila do Bispo are the beautiful sandy beaches. Many of them are surrounded by picturesque cliffs. The most famous beaches in the Vila do Bispo area are Cordoama Beach, Tonel Beach and Castelejo Beach.
