Pillory Pelourinho

Manueline column standing on the terrace in front of the cathedral of Se. It is a place from which one of the most beautiful views of Porto extends. The column is a symbol of the triumph of justice. In the past it was used to execute sentences. Hooks on which criminals were hung have survived to this day.
