Miradouro Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen is an attractive and popular vantage point located on the border of Lisbon's Graça and Alfama districts. An observation point that provides a spectacular view of Lisbon. Behind Miradouro is the historic Augustinian monastery, founded in 1271 and rebuilt after the earthquake.
The Miradouro da Graca viewpoint is a place often visited by tourists mainly due to the panoramic view of the historic center of Lisbon, the Baixa district and the Tagus river. It also provides excellent leisure conditions. In the picturesque area of Miradouro, there are many tables and benches surrounded by trees, where cool drinks are served.
The Miradouro viewpoint was the favorite place of the famous Portuguese writer in Lisbon. Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen became the patron of this place which bears her name. In honor of the writer, a bust and a table with one of her poems were placed here.
