The Nossa Senhor do Monte observation deck is the highest observation point in Lisbon. Located in the Garca district. It is one of the most visited places of this type in the capital of Portugal. The terrace offers a panoramic view of the entire old town and the surrounding area. It's a great place to take photos. On the terrace there are numerous pine trees that provide shade and refreshment. Noteworthy is the city map made of azulejos tiles, the panorama of which can be admired from this place with additional sights.
The viewpoint was renovated twice in the 20th century. Once there was a courtyard of the hermitage of the Virgin Mary from Monte. Near the viewpoint there is the chapel of Irmandade de Nossa Senhora do Monte e São Gens, which is a place of pilgrimage for pregnant women because it is to ensure a happy delivery and health.
