Santana Mill Park is located within the Monsanto Forest Park. It is an area of about 5 hectares. It is overgrown by the Mediterranean forest. You can see here several preserved 18th century stone windmills.
The park is primarily used as a place for walks. It is heavily wooded and there are not many scenic spots here. There are several 18th century windmills in the open. They were built by monks from the Dominican monastery. They are cylindrical buildings painted white. Propellers are made of material stretched on wooden frames. In 2015, the interior renovation of two mills was completed. They are open to the public.
