Alfons Albuquerque's garden is located in the Balem district, in the square in front of the Presidential Palace. Its central point is the viceroy of India standing on a high pedestal. The park is a popular place to rest. There are extensive lawns for football or picnics.
The garden covers an area of about one and a half hectares. His paths diverge stellarly from the monumental statue of Alfonso Albuquerque. Lawns with flower beds stretch around him, followed by carefully trimmed clumps of trees. There are four artificial ponds between them. Rest areas provide, in addition to lawns, stone benches.
