Colombo Shopping and Entertainment Center is located near Estadio de Luz. It is the largest shopping center on the Iberian Peninsula. There are 340 shops and service outlets, 60 restaurants and bars, beauty salons, a cinema with an IMAX room and children's play parks.
The center was built in 1997 and underwent a thorough modernization in 2004. Its architecture and appearance were inspired by geographical discoveries. Here you can see references to Oriental and North African architecture. There are decorative elements associated with maps, globes or routes of explorers' expeditions.
The center, however, is primarily entertainment and shopping. There are stores of leading Portuguese and worldwide brands. You can buy clothes, footwear, home furnishings, accessories, jewelry, stationery, electronics, groceries and much more. There are also restaurants and bars, a cinema and other service outlets.
