Estadio de Luz is a football stadium where Benfica Lisbon and the national team of Portugal play their matches. It is a modern arena built in 2004 on the occasion of the European Football Championship. It can seat 65,000 spectators.
The stadium was built on the site of an earlier, much larger one, which did not meet the safety requirements. On his pitch the final of the European Football Championships in 2004 between Portugal and Greece was played.
The stadium is made of concrete. It has roofs based on metal constructions above the stands. It is open to the public. During a guided tour, you can enter the Benfica Museum, cloakroom, press box, the stands and the stadium pitch.
