Poço da Neve

A basement in the mountains of Madeira, which was used in the past to store ice for hotels and hospitals on the island. It is located at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level near Pico do Arieiro. Outside, only the dome is visible, which covers the deep, lined with rock slabs, in which ice has been stored.
