Museum of the Pałuki Land

The Museum of the Pałucka Land in Znin occupies two historical buildings: the municipality on pl. Freedom 1 and the 11th tower. In the main building of the municipality there are permanent exhibitions dedicated to the history of printing and ethnography Palu. The basement exhibits a collection of history and motorboat sport, and also operates a gallery presenting temporary exhibitions of works by artists from the region.

An exhibition devoted to the history of the Znin from the earliest times of settlement in the Palaces can be seen in the 15th century. The ethnographic collection includes traditional costumes, wooden and clay sculpture, folk embroidery, painting, interior decoration, tools and many other exhibits. One of the exhibitions also presents the history of the oldest Wielkopolska KrakĂłw Brotherhood founded in 1424.

The collection includes medals, insignia and regatra from the end of the 18th century. Noteworthy are the memorabilia documenting the Wielkopolska Uprising and the section devoted to the prominent figures of Znin and the region. On the top floor of the tower you can see the clock mechanism of the eighteenth century. From the windows there is also a beautiful panorama of the town's tenement houses, the market and the water of the Little Znińskie Lake. The museum has been in operation since 1963.
