The observation deck in Żłobnica is a place where you can admire the largest brownfields of KWG Bełchatów. Affectionately called the "biggest hole" Polish object is a panorama of the mine's 40-year mining activity. On the right side of the viewing terrace you will see the chimneys of Europe's largest power station Bełchatów.
The depth of the excavations is over 200 meters and in December 2013 a million tons of coal was mined. The power generated by the power plants for years is 5298 MW and represents 19% of the power installed in the Polish power industry. Annual energy production of about 30 TWh accounts for about 20% of domestic production.
An interesting point of reference in the view from the terrace in Żłobnica is the perspective, in fact gigantic, machines working at excavations to a huge field of excavation. Working "in the hole" tools look like toys for children compared to the pit.
