The sanctuary is dedicated to Our Lady of Lesniów - Patroness of Families. It is part of the monastery complex of the Pauline Fathers, which includes a church, a monastery, a belfry, a pilgrim's house and a chapel. A miraculous figure of the Mother of God is worshiped here, which was supposed to be brought here by Prince Władysław Opolczyk at the end of the 14th century.
The present church building dates from the beginning of the 17th century and was built on the site of the previous wooden temple. Most of the furnishings come from the 18th century, with the late Baroque main altar funded by Wojciech Męciński at the top.
Next to the sanctuary, there is the Leśniówka spring, considered to be a miracle, which, according to legend, was supposed to sprout through the intercession of Mary. In memory of this event, in the fourteenth century, the first chapel was built here, and then a brick church.
