The castle lies on the Trail of the Eagle's Nests. What tourists can see today is the ruins of this once impressive defensive fortress, which can only be seen from the outside. In June 2018, Fundacja Królewskie Zamki Jurajskie (The Royal Jurassic Castles Foundation) donated over 5 million PLN for its revitalization and will soon be available for tourists in all its beuaty.
The first watchtower, quickly transformed into a large castle, had been built during the reign of Casimir the Great, that is, in the mid-14th century. Over the years, the defensive fortress changed owners and changed its character - from the building that served as defensive to residential. The walls of the castle were heavily disturbed during the invasion of the Swedes and the castle has been falling into ruin since then.Less
