The Ogrodzieniec Castle, despite the fact that it is only ruins, is the largest and most beautiful castle of the Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska, belonging to the trail of the Eagles' Nests. From the extensive outer bailey you can admire the remains of the stable and coach house, the gate tower and a fragment of the moat as well as the high stone walls surround the beautiful courtyard.
From the south of the castle, the Kurzą Foot was added - a building with casemates with shooting ranges and a ballroom. Renaissance lily frescoes have survived on the lowest floors of Kurza Feet. In the west wing, a tower with machiculas waits for visitors, from the top of which there is a view of the surrounding panorama. You can also visit the underground chambers, next to which is a doll museum.
The history of this Gothic knight's castle that witnessed the Swedish Deluge dates back to the fourteenth century.
