Nosal - 1206 m

Local name: Nosal - 1206 m n.p.m

Nosal is a mountain peak measuring 1206 m above sea level, located between the Bystra Valley and the Olczyska Valley. Its name refers to the nose-shaped rocks on the northwest side. On the same side there is the Dziura pod Nosalem cave. From the top there is a picturesque panorama of the surrounding peaks and Zakopane.

The slopes of the mountain are almost completely covered with forest. Beeches, pines and the artificially introduced black pine grow here. Edelweiss, gypsophila primroses and two species of orchids rarely found in Poland are also found on the rocky crags: moussis and common leafweed. Among the larger animals, deer, lynx and eagle owls have their habitats here.

There is an easy hiking trail across the Nosal ridge, which can be walked in approximately 1.5 hours. There is also a ski slope on the north side, served by several lifts.
