The collection is presented on six permanent exhibitions. It consists of items related to the post and telecommunication. The exhibitions are dedicated to the history of Poczta Polska (Polish Post) and display its accessories such as mailboxes, signboards, or postage stamps. There is also the exposition dedicated to postriders, telegraph, telephone, radio, and television. The museum also organizes temporary exhibitions.
The facility has its own shop which sells publishing companies and souvenirs. A library also operates near the museum. The history of the facility starts in 1919 with the nationwide collection of souvenirs related to Poczta Polska. Nine years later, the expositions were opened for public and the museum operated until the war after which it was reopened for another five years. The today's facility operates since 1956.
