The museum occupies the rooms of the Bernardine monastery complex. The church of St. Bernardine of Sienna, where you can see permanent exhibitions: "Architectural handicrafts from the twelfth to the twentieth century", and the beautiful Roman Hall in the southern wing of the monastery.
The collections presented in the museum are an example of the development of the technique of creating architectural details, among which stained glass represent exceptional value. The oldest of them date back to around 1190, the newest were created in the 20th century.
The collection is completed by a collection of tiles and stoves ranging from pottery tiles produced in the Middle Ages to modern industrial production. The furnaces at the exhibition come from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum's collection also includes examples of glass, stucco, foundry, carpentry and masonry, blacksmithing and ironwork, as well as wooden ceilings and painted plafonds. The Bernardine complex dates back to the 15th century and is the most valuable, medieval monument of Lower Silesia, in perfect condition preserved to the present day.
