Armoured Fortification Museum of the Toruń Fortress

Local name: Muzeum Fortyfikacji Pancernej Twierdzy Toruń

A military open-air museum comprising such objects as the SLB Battery ammunition shelter, a semi-armored SLB battery for three 10 cm cannons, erected in 1898, a Polish folding passive shelter from 1966 or Ringstand 58c fighting station - "Tobruk". The open-air museum was opened in 2004 in the left-bank part of Toruń.

The main object in the Museum of Armored Fortification of Toruń Fortresses is the Battery built in 1895-1896 and it constitutes the most interesting exhibit in the Toruń Fortress. It is an experimental model, the only one on a European scale. It was designed by the Engineering Committee of the General Staff, and the project itself is dated July 24, 1895.

The heritage park was created to rescue historical substances, and the revitalization activity is carried out by the Toruń Fortification Society.
