Bandshell

The concert shell in Świnoujście is an unprecedented example of how functional architecture can be. Its shape and the appropriate selection of materials used for its construction gave the building an incredible acoustics. The building is used during various types of events and concerts. On New Year's Eve, on the square in front of the shell, the city's inhabitants welcome the new year.

The original facility was built in 1911. Fifteen years later, it was rebuilt and its shape can be admired to this day. It was constructed of bricks and covered with stucco. Its proscenium was laid out with a special terrace board made of exotic Ipe wood. All this guaranteed great acoustics.

The concert shell was created after more and more people were coming to the health resort in Świnoujście. Because of the desire to commune with culture, there was a need to build a Spa House and various types of cultural objects. At that time, the original wooden music pavilion was created.
