Świnoujście lighthouse

The lighthouse measuring 67.70 m is the tallest lighthouse in Poland, as well as one of the tallest lighthouses in the world. Stairs leading to its top has 308 steps.

The building was erected in the years 1854-1857. It had the shape of an octagon narrowing towards the top. The thickness of its walls was 1.7 m at the bottom gallery to 1.3 m at the upper gallery. In the years 1902-1903, during a thorough renovation, the shape of the tower was changed to round. In 2000, it was open to visitors.
