The museum was opened in 1960 on the 550th anniversary of the battle. The exhibitions feature maps, plans and photographs showing the causes and course of the fighting. Copies of medieval weapons and weapons were also exhibited. There are also archaeological finds from Grunwald fields and coins in circulation in the 14th and 15th centuries in Poland and the Order.
The museum is located under the amphitheater that is part of the monuments complex. In addition to the exhibition hall, a cinema room was prepared in which visitors can watch a fragment of the film "Teutonic Knights". In addition, museum lessons are actively organized that engage participants. The museum also organizes many historical and educational events. These are primarily Grunwald Days with the staging of the Battle, cycles of knightly tournaments, as well as horse archery competitions.
An interesting offer is an individually determined offer. At an extra charge, visitors can shoot from a bow, watch a horse riding show and artillery. The organization of a medieval feast by the fire and the music band, as well as a fire show and stilting are offered.
