Local name: Muzeum Pamiątek po Janie Matejce "Koryznówka"
Koryznówka is located in Nowy Wiśnicz Museum of Memories after Jan Matejko. It was set up in a house that used to visit and was a constant part of his life. In the wooden building you can see the original interior design, paintings by Jan Matejko and a collection of photographs and family memorabilia.
Built in the mid-nineteenth century, the building in Nowy Wiśnicz, known as Koryznówka, was a house once inhabited by the sister of Jan Matejko's wife and her husband, Leonard Serafiński. Due to the close kinship and friendship between Matejko and Serafinski, Jan Matejko used to visit the house which is now a temple of his memory, which has been operating since 1981.
Inside the historic building there are a number of antiques and old memorabilia. The rooms are furnished in Biedermeier style and the walls are hung by Matejko's portraits. In addition, you can see a collection of photographs, news clippings and letters.
