Garrison church of Sts. George in Sopot is a magnificent neo-gothic building. The historic church is visited today not only by the faithful, but also by tourists who want to see the unique body of the temple and its richly decorated interior.
Church of Sts. George was erected at the turn of the 19th century. Its construction is very characteristic - it is a one-nave and a one-tailed church. The tower was to be so high that "it was visible from ships on the Gulf of Gdansk". At first the church served as a Protestant temple, but in the 1940s it became a Catholic church.
In the interior of the church you can admire the elements of its original design: ornamental chandeliers, benches and 23-voice pneumatic organs. The basilica of Our Lady of Czestochowa and the cross of St. Damian in Assisi.
