Located near Sopot Pier, the Savior Church is one of the most beautiful monuments of sacral architecture in Sopot. It was built at the beginning of the twentieth century and since then has served Protestant services. This temple belongs to the Evangelical-Augsburg parish in Gdansk. However, it does not bear the name of the cathedral, because the Evangelical Lutheran Church does not provide for such titles.
The Church of the Savior in Sopot was built between 1913-1919. The building was erected in neo-Baroque style. Its single tower is visible even over the crowns of trees. No less delightful what the architecture of the church is its richly decorated interior. Particular attention in it deserves pulpit, neo-baroque 18-voice organs and portraits of saints.
The "Etos" library, which is part of the church, organizes periodical exhibitions of historical and literary character and often hosts concerts in the interior of the church.
