Duke Przemysł Museum of Solec Kujawski
Local name: Muzeum Solca im. Księcia Przemysła
The museum is owned by the Prince of Industry, who founded the town in the 14th century. The exhibition presents the very early history of the city and its surroundings, as the oldest exhibits in its collection date back as far as 9000 BC.
The exhibits presented at the museum include prehistoric memorabilia, such a as a fragment of a hoe hoe before 9000 BC, as well as ceramics and flint tools. Further history of the city is coming from documents dating back to the 13th century, functional boards presenting the history of the region against the background of Kujawy and the whole of Poland and a collection of coins from the 15th to the 19th centuries.
The museum was founded in 2009. It is located in a building called Villa Anna, which was built by Carl Juegrens - a German industrialist of the solemn origin.
