Roztocze National Park is located in Middle Roztocze. Its headquarters are situated in Zwierzyniec. Center for Education and Museum is also located there. The park mostly consists of forests. It also contains meadows and ponds. The most popular walking and didactic tracks lead to Bukowa Mountain, Echo Ponds, and Florianka.
Roztocze National Park was established in 1974 in the place of 11 nature reserves. The forests belonged to the Zamoyski Family Fee Tail until World War II. Apart from the protection of forest areas with fir and Karpacka beechwood forests, the main aim of the park is the breeding of Konik - a descendant of Tarpan, also known as a Eurasian wild horse.The park covers the area of almost 8500ha. It consists of 10 didactic paths and 5 tourist tracks. The most important attractions are Echo Ponds, Bukowa Mountain, the refugium of Konik, Forest Chamber in Florianka, and Zwierzyniec.Less
