It is a museum currently functioning as the Department of Old Culture of the local Municipal Culture Center. The facility is housed in the 19th-century house of the Sławków merchant and presents collections of the region's historical value. The permanent exhibition concerns archaeological excavations that led to the discovery of the ruins of the Sławków castle, as well as the broadly understood history of the region in various aspects.
Initially, the Museum was housed in a historic 17th-century inn. In 1984, he was moved to the house of a former Sławków merchant. The permanent exhibition includes items presenting the history of the region, including the history of metallurgy and mining as well as local craft and trade, such as mining lamps from the 18th century, sculptures of saints from the second half of the 17th century or a map of the city from 1823. Noteworthy are also exhibits about the local Jewish community, among which you can find Hebrew, nineteenth-century books and an exhibition of memorabilia of World War II.
