The facility is located in the monumental 18th-century tenement house. It presents the biography of Gustaw Morcinek, exhibits related to the prehistory of Skoczów and area, and also the craft in the region of Cieszyn Silesia. It's a branch of the Museum of Cieszyn Silesia.
The museum was opened in 1986 while the biographical exhibition of Morcinek was moved here from his former apartment in 1982. The writer's office with the original desk, library and typing machine are displayed in the old castle's chapel, within the facility's area. The permanent exhibition consists of items related to the history of Cieszyn, largely dedicated to pottery, gunsmithing, silversmithing, and watchmaking.Visitors can also watch movies about Gustaw Morcinek, the history of Skoczów, and Cieszyn's costumes.Less
