Museum of the History of the People's Movement

Local name: Muzeum Historii Polskiego Ruchu Ludowego

Museum of the History of the Polish People's Movement in Sandomierz is a branch of the Warsaw Museum of the same name. It has been operating since 1989 and mainly depicts the history of the folk movement in the Świętokrzyskie region. His collections include documents, press, photographs and banners. A separate exhibition presents the contribution of the people's movement in the fight against Germany during the Second World War and the activities of the post-war guerrilla war.

The museum was created mainly thanks to the efforts of Stanisław Kos, who managed to obtain for him many souvenirs stored in family houses and private collections. They present the history of the folk movement in Świętokrzyskie since the days of Father Stojowski to the post-war years. In addition to exhibitions, the museum also has an extensive archive, which is a good base for research on this subject.
