Terrace stairs

Taras stairs are located on the scarp connecting the Lower and Upper Park in Puławy. They are wide, enclosed with brick plinths and bring along the bends to the Vistula.

Terrace stairs together with the English ones were built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. They were part of the conversion of the park into a then romantic English style. The stairs are scenic and picturesquely situated on the Vistula embankment. By gentle turns, after a slight slope, they descend to the very base of the escarpment.
