The citadel fort XVI "Zniesienie" adapted for circular defense was part of the inner ring of the Przemyśl Fortress. The object consists of three connected artillery ramparts and resembles a honeycomb. Today you can see here, among others preserved moats and ramparts, a gate and the ruins of a concrete shelter blown up in 1915 by the crew of the capitulation fortress. Reaching the fort is possible thanks to the red trail connecting Przemyśl with Sanok, and the Przemyśl walking route marked with blue and white squares. There are magnificent panoramas of the city and the surrounding area.
The fort was built in the place of an earthwork erected in the 1850s. Its current appearance is the result of transformations that took place after 1878. It took its name from the hill on which it was built: apparently once "abolished" here, or defeated, a branch of the Tatars. Within the fort, inter alia, amphitheater, which hosts cultural and tourist events. There are also two visible objects everywhere: the mighty Cross of Trust in 2000 and the TV tower. A little further is the Tatar Mound.
It is adjacent to the fort with other defensive complexes: from the west, the XVIc "Three Crosses" fort, and from the east the battery of the XVIb "Tatar Mound".
