Przemysl Museum of Archdiocese. St. Joseph Sebastian Pelczar Bishop is one of the oldest museums in Podkarpacie. It is located in the former cathedral school and neighboring tenement house. The unique sacred art of the Diocese of Przemysl represents the exhibits of both the 15th and the present. Visitors can admire, among others. a unique collection of Gothic sculpture - among others. figurines of the Virgin and Child, collection of crucifixes, triptychs, objects from the nearby Stanislaw Orzechowski Manor, portrait painting, liturgical equipment and robes, tapestries and a collection of valuable memorabilia related to John Paul II.
The museum was founded in 1902 by the efforts of bishop Joseph Pelczar, who since 2003 is his patron. The ceremonial dedication took place in 1908. Initially, the museum was located in the buildings of the former Jesuit college. In 2008, in the opening century, it changed its seat and is currently occupied by townhouses in the immediate vicinity of the cathedral. St. John the Baptist.
The facility organizes temporary exhibitions. It is adapted for the needs of the disabled.
