The Historical Museum in Przasnysz is housed in an 18th-century town hall building. Inside, mainly exhibits from the archeological and historical department were presented. The exhibitions have been enriched with iconographic and archival collections. In addition, the museum organizes meetings with authors and deals with the promotion of books.
Archaeological monuments come from accidental finds as well as from excavations carried out in the city and its surroundings. Interesting exhibits include, among others, Neolithic hatchets, hatchets, ceramic vessels as well as medieval battle axes and spear caves.
The historical department deals with the presentation of the history of Przasnysz and the region, with particular emphasis on the history of crafts and trade. Particular attention should be paid to the banners of the Przasnysz guilds from the 19th and the first half of the 20th century.
The museum also presents a collection of paintings from outdoor paintings and graphics by Wojciech Ciesielski. In addition, the facility has numerous craft documents dated to the nineteenth century, as well as photographs immortalizing the cultural and social life of the city's inhabitants.
