Museum of Romanticism
Local name: Muzeum Romantyzmu
The museum is housed in a rebuilt Neo-Gothic palace. He presents memorabilia related to the Krasiński family, with particular emphasis on Zygmunt Krasiński. The complex consists of a palace, a manor from the beginning of the 20th century, a former court house, an arcaded house and an English park.
The Palace, or the headquarters of the Museum, dates back to the 1940s. Among the most interesting exhibits are the Napoleon's briefcase taken by the Cossacks during the crossing of Berezina, a portrait by Zygmunt Krasiński painted by his wife Eliza, the family tree of the Krasiński family from 1722 and the marble bust of Wincenty Krasiński 1808.
The Museum collects early collections of poetry, as well as correspondence, graphics and maps.
In the park near the manor, there is the only statue of Zygmunt Krasinski in Poland. The Museum conducts extensive educational activities, organizes concerts of classical music, museum lessons and poetry meetings.
