Roman Catholic parish of St. Józefa is the oldest parish in Ciechanów, erected in the 12th century. It belongs to the beautiful, late Gothic Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the temple you can admire, for example, two granite stoups from the 16th century and a beautiful 17th-century crucifix. It is also worth paying attention to the late-Gothic tombstone of Stanisław Szczurzyński with a bas-relief of a knight in armor.
Near the church, on the top of Farska Góra, there is a beautiful, neo-Gothic belfry. You can also find here the remains of the former church cemetery - the tombstone of Michał and Maria Mieszkowski from 1861.
Originally, in the place of today's temple, there probably stood the pre-Romanesque rotunda. Saints Peter and Paul. In the times of the Dukes of Masovia, a wooden church was built. Blessed Virgin Mary. However, today's brick church was built in the years 1515-1525.
