Faktoria - Baltic International Cultural Park
Local name: Faktoria - Międzynarodowy Bałtycki Park Kulturowy
It is a reconstruction of the ancient trade settlement and Amber Glass from the period of Roman influence in Pruszcz Gdański. By visiting this place you can go back to the time before almost 2,000 years ago. The main objects included in the Factories are the Leader's Cottage, the Market Hall and the reconstructions of the Amber Cottage and the Smith's Hut. Tourists will be able to admire here, among others. amber exhibits and numerous archaeological sites.
The settlement dating back to the 1st and 4th century was one of the strongest trade centers on the Baltic. Archaeological research carried out since the late nineteenth century is evidence of settlement in these areas. The facility is located in the center of Pruszcza Gdański, between the streets Grunwaldzka and Zastawna and was opened in 2011.
Other attractions of the Factories include: reconstruction of the merchant car, which was transported goods for the exchange of amber; archery track, animal farm, stone circle reconstruction and two boules. The whole settlement is surrounded by four gate towers.
