This is the largest lake in Greater Poland. Covered by a zone of silence, a vast and deep water area attracts tourists with a large sailing area, beautiful beaches with long, shallow water entrances and exceptional water purity and transparency. For diving enthusiasts, underwater attractions await, among others: exercise platforms, a sunken "computer station", a telephone booth, a wreck of a BMW and a Cessna plane, or Trabant.
Lake Powidzkie is a gutter lake, it has about 1035-1180 hectares of area, a shoreline reaching 33 910 meters, an average depth of about 11m and a maximum depth of up to 50 m. It is known for its crystal clear water, the lake bottom is visible at a depth of 5 m. The reservoir and its waterfront are an ideal place for sunbathers or surfers. There is a wealth of fish waiting for fishermen such as vendace, whitefish, tench, eel or pike.
The crystal clear water attracts diving enthusiasts, so there is a large number of diving bases at the waterfront. You can rent diving equipment, boats, fill up cylinders or take advantage of the course offerings.
