And in Pacanów, the European Center of Tales operates in honor of Koziołek Matołek. This is an amazing place that transfers you to the enchanted world of fantasy, and at the same time in an accessible way combines learning with fun.
In 2003, on the seventieth anniversary of the appearance of Matołek the Billy Goat, Pacanów was recognized as the European Capital of Fairy Tales. At that time, the creation of the Fairy Tale Center began. It was solemnly opened in 2010. It quickly became one of the most visited attractions of the Świętokrzyskie Province. The center is constantly expanding its offer, and by 2020 it is planned to open a Fairy Tale Park.
The Tales Center exhibitions are modern and adapted to the way children perceive the world. Enters here have the impression that they are moving to another world. Not only exhibits and set designs placed here, but also multimedia shows and interactive stands help in learning about it. The journey leads through the land of fairy tales, inhabited by fairy-tale characters from various European nations, and the land of Soria Moria, which transfers the world of Scandinavian myths and legends.
